International Teaching
During the summer of 2012, I had the opportunity to travel to Zacapa, Guatemala. I went down to visit two friends who work with the children of Zacapa and the surrounding area. Knowing that I was pursuing a degree in Physical Education, my friends asked me to come up with various games and activities that I could teach to the local children. While at a local park, I pulled out my slack-line and through very broken Spanish explained what it was and how it worked. I also had the opportunity to introduce the games of kickball and volleyball. It was exciting to see how quickly the children grasped the new games!
